Treforys Nursing & Residential Care Home

Treforys is a Dementia Care Home situated in the suburb of Morriston within the City and County of Swansea and the picturesque coastline of the Mumbles and the Gower Peninsula. Treforys provides both nursing and residential care.

Treforys was opened in 2016 and provides 30 spacious bedrooms with en-suite facilities.

As you walk into the home through the entrance lobby you will receive a warm welcome at anytime of day. The ground floor is dedicated to relaxing and themed spaces for our residents to enjoy. There is a large spacious dining room which benefits from natural light all day long through the large panoramic windows. There is a separate television area. There is a beach themed lounge which opens out onto our Dementia sensory garden. There is also access into the enclosed garden where residents can sit out and enjoy.

The Registered Manager at Treforys Nursing & Residential Home is Ryan Port. Ryan has over 11 years’ experience in Dementia and palliative care. Ryan joined Treforys in 2017 and took over management of the home in December 2021. Through the years, Ryan has not only been committed to his own development but also the forefront has been ensuring that a high level of care is maintained and continued through all aspects of the home.

Treforys has a committed team, including an experienced Clinical Lead heading up our team of Nurses, who all work consistently providing our residents with quality home from home care with the emphasis on kindness, compassion and person-centred approaches.
